MattTheGeek got a reaction from djun in [RFS]Motion Pack - Let your launchpad sense motion!
I've been thinking of creating this for a while, and i think the time is now.

The motion pack is a 6DOF (Or 9DOF if the gyro is added) launchpad booster pack to sense acceleration and magnetic heading.

    6DOF version:
    A HMC5883L 3 axis compass and a MMA8452Q (or perhaps a MMA8453Q) 3 axis accelerometer with supporting components.

    9DOF Version:
The 9DOF version contains everything the 6DOF has,but includes a ITG-3200 3 axis gyro. The ITG-3200 has been replaced with the L3G4200D triple axis gyro.

I'll figure out pricing soon... but the 6DOF shouldn't cost more than $19.99 (or even $14.99) populated. But it's a different story for the 9DOF...

So Olimex is doing a arduino style F5510 development board mainly for use with EasyMSP. I'm requesting feedback from the Community. Ideas? Comments?

    Features:
    Enhanced CPUX.
Large amount of flash and ram for programs. (32KB FLASH / 6KB RAM)
USB Bootloading + Spy-bi wire JTAG.
    ... and more.

4 CH motor controller booster pack

The MotorPack Booster Pack is a 4 CH motor controller based off the DRV8830 from Texas Instruments.

    Key Features
Drive up to 4 DC motors at 1A per channel (External power supply is required)
Easy and IO saving I2C interface (Only 3 GPIO pins required)
    Motor Fault Detection
    Stackable! (Hopefully)

    Status: PCB Routing
I'm rerouting the PCB for the addition of the address select logic

Got my today. (Thanks Sugaraddict & bluehash)

I think i got a special edition... One screw is a Phillips head, other is a flat head.

You know, HASL is pretty reflective... Perhaps you could unmask parts of the soldermask in the next batch to make a free reflector...

So I've been working on this for a little while now... I'll get a prototype of the mounting spacer from the CNC shop around the 9th... I have some boards already that were made purely for testing the footprint, lcd, and code. I've already got a batch of the production PCB's on order that are to make sure everything is good before I order a crapload of them... I'm looking at doing 100 of these.

Rob-LCDBack.pdf <-- This is the mounting spacer's general idea in 2d, working with the CNC to get it all perfect.

I will be using the Nokia 7110 LCD... dipmicro still has a fair stock of them, I'm going to order 100 of them when I get my next paycheck.

    Thoughts?

I will be taking a minor loss to make this happen at $4.30 each, it's still cheaper than a day at the slopes!

    Glad to hear that.

I had to use stamps instead of printing a international label as paypal took that feature away :problem:

The stamps are called Forever stamps. As for the Christmas theme, it's just what i had on hand.

Sorry for the delay in sending the international orders. I had to figure out another way on how to package and send them without them being damaged as well not costing over $5-7 in postage alone. Most small orders where sent out around April 10th, and the large orders (zeke, xpg, krzyk2) have been sent today. Again, sorry for delaying receiving your red shiny boards and any inconvenience this may have caused. Let me know if there is anything i can do for you.

They should arrive in less than week.

    Regards,
    Matthew

About early august, a family member died. One month later, my house caught on fire. 3 days later the half of the remaining processions were stolen from the fire damaged house, and I've relocated. It's been a rough 3-4 months.

So whats the good news? i'm writing the the first final release, Version 1.0.x, from scratch, taking in the input from the community.

While i don't have much in equipment and tools, i'll see what i can do.

    In short...

    I'm back

    Regards,

Had a bit of fun there.

0.83 is quite old, but again i haven't released a stable one yet (That i consider ready to be released to the masses) Yeah, the code in the repo should handle device type automatically when using CCS, But i'm still working on one universal include system for all family types. I have been neglecting the libraries for 2 and value line series MSP430's due to the OLIMEXINO, so i'm not sure it will build.

Currently my plan is to have a release ready by a month...

$4.25 for shipping. Once the group buy ends you will get the final price, but it should be around $1.50 to $1.05 a board:

    Best Case: $7.40 ( 4.25 + (3 x 1.05) )
    Worst Case: $8.75 ( 4.25 + (3 x 1.50) )

Unless we opt in for EMS.
