  1. I got it to work yesterday and I'm currently testing to see how long the battery lasts. I'm using a cellphone battery (3.7v 5.6Wh 1500 mAh) but I also left the 808 cameras internal battery connected. I think it was 3.7v 850mAh. I tested it without the cellphone battery and it died within 4 hours but I think it had a bad cell, it's getting puffy (common problem with these cheap cams ). So far with the cellphone battery it's going on 24 hours. I manually trigger the switch about every hour. I just want to see how long these batteries last as I have several of them that I recharge with a standalo

  4. @grahamf72 thanks for the info. I'm not really sure but for LPM3, do I need to solder the rtc crystal to the launchpad?

  6. This sounds like something I might try. Based on the new code I just posted, How would you implement the sleep function, (or where?) I've been doing so much searching for examples that I'm confused. Your idea does seem like it would work for me. I would need to add a switch to the reset pin and change the code but I like it.
  7. I'm still working on this code. I want to implement an if statement that checks the status of a pin, and based off that run the loop i currently have or not. I am using energia so if a mod can move this to that sub forum maybe I'll get more help there.
  8. That is how I was planning on doing it at first. What I'm trying to do is have a switch attached to a door so when the door is opened the switch bring the MSP430 out of low power mode, run the main loop which will take a picture then go back to low power mode. If I connected the switch to the power of the MSP430, then if the door was only opened for a second the power will be cut off before it can run the loop and no picture will be taken. The picture isn't important to me, I actually have a piece of tape over the lens, I'm only interested in the time stamp on the picture. So that is why I'm t
  9. Sorry, I'm new to using these forums. How do you use "code" tags?
