IMHO active lurkers should also be saved. I don't post much but read almost daily.

I'm cleaning up the board. All inactive members(those who have never made a post, but registered) will be deleted.

Ok.. I need to send an email out to everyone. Im sure your 34063 is getting hot, same as mine. I would wait for cube to get back to his. I shipped his kit today.

leaving the buttons available is recommended by the booster design guide, too.
I can only give some links to stores located in germany, but farnell or rs online cover most parts of europe.

Pollin.de, cellphone battery, no leads but darn cheap: http://www.pollin.de/shop/dt/MzMwOTI3OT ... BC80S.html
Ebay has plenty, but all reasonable priced ones are from hongkong.
I'm really surprised how hard they are to source in large quantities, they are definetly not that accessible than I thought.
I'm an quite active model pilot and i usually salvage good cells out of bad battery packs, so I#m never short on Lipo's..

Philipp reacted to energia in LaunchPad on steroids, if you have a lot of spare time...
Thanks for the offer! If I remember correctly then you are on windows right? We are working on getting uploading to the StellarPad working cross platform (no OS left behind!). Until then it's we use LMFlasher thingy under windows to poke code into the StellarPad.
Give us another week or so and if all goes well we can do a beta release..

Philipp got a reaction from cde in $4.99 Stellaris (Cortex-M4) LaunchPad
You're totally right about the boosterpack connectors J3 and J4, i forgot to mention this in my post. Although it is called '+VBUS' and not '5V', most boosterpacks with the XL pinout would expect 5V on +VBUS and therefore might not work with this hack if they make use of the 5V
The RGB led however runs happily on a lipo. When it goes dark you propably should recharge the lipo preventing it from undervoltage.
I did not measure the minimum voltage for the led, but I can do some more 'research' on that if you're interested

3 boards with one linked account is nice. One combined board though, will make it harder to find msp430 (or your preferred chip) based talk harder. For reference, I have the "view active topics" link as a bookmark I check daily. With about 10 to 20 new posts a day to check on. Combining the stellaris and c2k posts into that would add alot of noise to it.

FYI: Some kind of self-promotion
I modified my stellaris Launchpad to work with a single-cell LiPo battery.
Turned out that there is some kind of research involved, instead of just plugging it in.

I posted a tthread on the TI forums yesterday. They said they only option for stellaris and MSP430 was two installs unfortunately. One for each licensing option. I'll post a link when I get to work.

Support for StellarPad is on its way.. Give it another couple of weeks and a new release of Energia with StellarPad will be available.

Well said, but how do you define low-cost?
Look at Rob's board MSP430F5510 USB Dev. Kit (15$) or at the Olimex MSP430 lineup (http://www.olimex.com/Products/MSP430/) including the Olimexino 5510 (12.95

This is the final version; I don't think it can be made any better as well as generic at the same time.
All variants verified against the TI LaunchPad Eagle files.
Thanks to SugarAddict for the corrections.
Pro tip: make your References layer yellow (or any other unused bright color) while placing your components.
