    Products using MSP430

I need someone to recommend the best product among those listed on this site? https://buywirelessrouternow.com/best-wireless-doorbell/
  3. It was showing up in Energia, just not in CCSv9...but for some reason its there now (pic below is what I was talking about). Coincidentally, wth the TivaC board added to fix the dslite problem and the msp432e appearing, the TivaC board doesn't show up...Should that one be listed to? It's just a little unclear as to whether or not all of the boards supported in Energia are supported in CCSv9. I know in the past there were some compatibility issues, I just wasn't sure if those issues still persisted. Regardless, the MSP432E board appears now, so i'm ok now.

Good try - inserting (malicious?) links in posts is not nice of you. Spammer. 3rd time and you're gone?

    Hosting Provider Help

You can not start working on Amazon Web Services just like that. It is very difficult to handle. You must have some knowledge before working on AWS. Perhaps, AWS For Beginner will help you ease the job.
  8. Doesn't the LaunchPad w/ MSP432E EMT (120MHz) board appear under Energia MSP432E (32-bits) Boards as pictured below?
  9. Done. https://github.com/energia/msp432e-core/issues/6 I do see where you can create a new MSP432E CCS project in Code Composer 9, but it doesn't appear to be possible to create a MSP432E Energia Project yet...Is that correct?
  10. Please open a ticket at https://github.com/energia/msp432e-core/issues. Thank you!
  11. I'm trying to get Energia21 working with my MSP432E (which I'm still struggling with) and ran into a problem. The platform.txt file references dslite 7.2.0.2096. However, to get this version of dslite, I must install the TivaC board...which installs this version of dslite in .../Energia15/packages/energia/tools/dslite. It seems like there is a mismatch between the dslite version that the v5.19.0 msp432e board is installing and the platform.txt file jrd PS FWIW, now that I fixed this, I get a "Frequency out of range error"...I tried other versions of dslite (6.2.1.1594, 8.0.0.1202, and 8.2.0.1400) to no avail.

Anyone interested in grouping PCB fab orders?

Moreover, the PCB production spikes up so far that gives us more options to purchase.

    SocketCAN help needed

@yyrkoon I've been working on decoding various messages on my RV-C network. It looks like you have been able to decoded PGNs such as 1F0C4 (BATT_DUEX_STATUS) and 1F0C5 (DC Source Status). Are these PGN's documented somewhere? I've been searching the web and haven't found them yet. Just came across you very helpful posts. Thanks
  17. I'm not an OSX person so I'm not familiar with what people use for the msp430. However, this seems to be available for download to program your device: http://software-dl.ti.com/msp430/msp430_public_sw/mcu/msp430/MSP430Flasher/latest/index_FDS.html
  18. I did look at the CCS 9 zip download for OSX. It does contain a msp430-elf-gcc. You need to look harder for it. Install CCS and the msp430-elf-gcc and you will have all the command line tools you need.
  19. Sometimes the MSP430-GCC-OPENSOURCE is not exactly the same revision. The msp430f5529 is old in terms of the compiler. It is probably fine for what you are doing. The mspdebug is the opensource programmer I use for msp430 chips. https://github.com/dlbeer/mspdebug For the msp430f5529 launchpad you can use: $ mspdebug tilib 'prog foo.out' CCS also provides a gdb proxy program. I've used it but I find mspdebug more convenient. I can run mspdebug on a raspberry pi, that is never going to happen with CCS. If you have installed dslite that will allow you to upload. Look at how energia uses it. Attached is a simple project I have for the msp430fr6989. You will have to change it for the msp430f5529. $ unzip msp430fr6989.zip $ cd msp430fr6989 $ source env.sh $ make V=1 clean all blink.install msp430fr6989.zip BTW: This zip has a .vscode/c_cpp_properies.json file I use for code indexing. You will have to change it for the msp430f5529

    watchdog timer

Dear Experts, now i am working with TivaC TM4C123GH6PM an energia. i never work in watch dog timer before so i was rewrite the watch dog timer example code(i get code from google) like below, #include "driverlib/interrupt.h" #include "driverlib/sysctl.h" #include "driverlib/watchdog.h" #include "driverlib/rom_map.h" #include "driverlib/rom.h" void setup() { Serial.begin(9600); Serial.println("SETUP"); MAP_SysCtlPeripheralEnable(SYSCTL_PERIPH_WDOG0); // Enable the watchdog peripheral MAP_WatchdogReloadSet(WATCHDOG0_BASE, MAP_SysCtlClockGet() * 2); // Set timeout of watchdog to 2 sec MAP_WatchdogResetEnable(WATCHDOG0_BASE); // Reset when watchdog expires WatchdogIntRegister(WATCHDOG0_BASE, &WatchdogIntHandler); // Register the watchdog interrupt handler MAP_WatchdogEnable(WATCHDOG0_BASE); // Enable the watchdog if(SysCtlResetCauseGet() & SYSCTL_CAUSE_WDOG0) // Get and print the reset cause { Serial.println("Watchdog Reset"); } else if(SysCtlResetCauseGet() & SYSCTL_CAUSE_EXT) { Serial.println("External reset"); } SysCtlResetCauseClear(SYSCTL_CAUSE_WDOG0 | SYSCTL_CAUSE_EXT); } void loop() { Serial.println("MC Working"); delay(6000); } void WatchdogIntHandler(void) { WatchdogIntClear(WATCHDOG0_BASE); // Clear the watchdog interrupt. Serial.println("REG CLEAR"); } this code reset the watch dog timer register in every 2 sec, so watchdog is not resetting my controller, my doubt is this code is definitely reset the controller if my controller getting struck or hang for any disturbance. please make sure about this.

    TMS320F28069 on energia

Which release of Energia are you using? Energia 18 and later wouldn't work, so you'd need to try with Energia 17. Also see https://github.com/energia/Energia/issues/796, https://github.com/energia/Energia/issues/609 and https://github.com/energia/Energia/issues/764.

MSP430FR2355 SAC DAC programming with Energia

I can't specifically answer for Entergia, but from what I can see, it looks like you'll need to use CCS and perhaps the driver library.
  25. Hi, i want to use Energia for programmings SAC DAC of MSP430fr2355. is it possible? Does Energia support that Smart Analog Combo Programming? if so , are there any examples for that? Regards, Venkatesh Sujanimuk
  26. Hi Energia V1.8.7E2 OSX 10.14.5 I have been using Energia for a while now to program first a pair of CC1310 Launchpad boards and now the custom boards were designed with the information from that initial exercise. While the Launchpad boards can be programmed directly by Energia the custom boards have no XDS110 debugger interface so need to be programmed using the bootloader and UART. We accomplish this by using a USB->TTL serial adaptor and TI's Smart RF Flash Programmer 2 running in a Windows virtual machine. The issue is this... to get the newly compiled .elf I have to navigate to a folder with a name similar to /var/folders/tn/mrcpkdls2fx208png2rqfvcr0000gn/T/arduino_build_222512/. This folder path and name changes on every rebuild so I have to search for it every time. Not ideal. OK, so the questions are; Can this output folder be changed and, if so, how? What does "Export Compiled Binary" in the Tools menu do? On my system it compiles the current sketch but appears to do nothing else. It would be nice if it actually did something like allow you to save the compiled binary somewhere known on the drive. Thanks
  27. Thanks. I think I have it working now. Will share on this forum as soon as I have run some tests. Cheers!
